中华文明，历史悠久；中国文化，博大精深。中国古代绘画是中国古代文化遗产的一个重要组成部分，它经历了几千年的发展历程，形成了独特的艺术风格，在世界美术园地里自成体系，被称为“中国画”。中国画在不断发展的过程中，不断涌现出众多的著名画家，也给人类留下了很多艺术水平高超的作品。镇江博物馆珍藏书画文物五千余件，以明清和近代书画为大宗，其中亦有许多名人佳作。现特选馆藏部分绘画精品展出，以供广大观众和书画爱好者观赏，并以此陶冶自己的艺术情操，从传统的文化艺术品中去吸取营养，去开拓新的灵感，去创造书画艺术的崭新明天。

Chinese civilization boasts its long history; the Chinese culture features the broad and deep. The ancient Chinese painting, a significant segment of Chinese cultural heritage, has got a foothold in the international art world by its unique style developed from several-thousand years’ transformation. This development saw the rise of many eminent artists, who left behind quite a few high-standard works. The collection of 5,000 paintings in the Zhenjiang Museum, are dated mainly Ming / Qing dynasties and modern times, many of which were produced by renowned artists. Through this exhibition, we hope that visitors and painting lovers could enjoy appreciating these carefully-selected masterpieces, draw artistic nutrients from within, and further derive inspirations to create a brand-new future for the contemporary Chinese painting and calligraphy.
